About Hilde Maes
Hilde has always been creative
Her grandmother taught her to knit and crochet. Her grandfather was an artist. Hilde lives in a small village in Belgium, together with her husband. They have 2 daughters, one still living at home.
Since her childhood
At school, she was always good in drawing lessons. When Hilde was 14 years old, she discovered a few of her grandfathers sketch books in a closet. Hilde's interest in drawing became more obvious.
At the age of 21
Hilde earned a degree in architecture and worked in that sector for more than 27 years. In 2020, due to the Covid crisis, she got fired from her architecture job together with 12 other people.
